Things to do when you have a 5 hour layover…

in the Panama airport…eat empanadas. Read the rest of your yearbook. Talk to the people next to you who live in Guayaquil and speak Spanish, Mandarin and English…practice your Spanish with them…then switch to Mandarin. Answer their questions about why in the world you want to move to Ecuador and show them the cool JW website in their language. Eat some caramel biscuit Haagen Dazs ice cream. Eat some lemon sorbet. Chew the bubble gum a little girl offers you, blow bubbles and people watch. Upload pictures from your daughter’s going away party, then figure out what you will eat next…

  1. I’m enjoying your posts and am looking forward to future posts. Wife and I were in Fairhope ’95-’08. We’re now with the Scarsdale congregation, NY. You can imagine how excited I was when I saw Foley, AL as your home congregation. I gave a talk at your lovely Kingdom Hall off H’way 59 a couple of times. May Jehovah bless your efforts to expand your ministry.

    1. Hi Al and Sandra – this is Beverly Riddick and I’m hoping that you and your family are doing well. We remember when you were in Fairhope and the Hawley’s and us visited with you. I believe that we were on our way to New Orleans. Nice to hear from you via Chante’s blog (lol) and hoping that Jehovah continues to bless you all. We send our love.
